Announced earlier this month, photo exhibition Praising the Future featuring the works by Antoine Gonin will be open until November 27, 2008 due to a large number of those who wish to visit the exhibition.
RLST provides a thematic exhibition of literature and documents entitled, "Fashion Industry," which features about 400 scientific technical publications: patents, bibliographical editions, normative-technical documentation on standardization, which provide the important information on rules of exploiting clothing machinery and products…
A regional seminar for employees of scientific technical libraries took place in Grodno Regional Scientific Technical Library, RLST branch. The participants worked over the following issues of library management, "Planning and Reporting in Scientific Technical Library of Enterprise (Organization)" and "Methods of Preparing Job Description of Librarians. Basic Requirements to Job Instructions."
New educational standards of the Republic of Belarus were received by the library. The standards set the aims and the objectives of the professional activities of instructors, competence requirements for graduating students, requirements for educational programs and their implementation, requirements for educational process and final state attestation of graduating students. The standards are available in the reading room of technological normative documents (Room 504).

On June 14, 2007 the Presidential Decree no. 3, "Economy is a Main Factor of Economic Safety of the State," was signed. In support of implementation of the Decree the Information Center of the Republic Scientific Technical Library, as part of its permanent exhibition entitled, "Economy and Thrift as Factors of Economic Development of State" represents an exposition called, "New Technologies of Energy Saving" from November 3 to 27, 2008. The exposition features books and periodicals from the collections of RLST and the Sustainable Development Library. Location: Minsk, Pobediteley ave., 7, Room 607.
